چکیده
A method is proposed for latticizing a class of supersymmetric gauge theories, including N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. The technique is inspired by recent work on “deconstruction”. Part of the target theory’s supersymmetry is realized exactly on the lattice, reducing or eliminating the need for fine tuning. We present preliminary evidence of BCS diquark condensation in the 3 + 1 dimensional Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model at non-zero chemical potential (μ) on the lattice. Large N results are used to match the model’s parameters to low energy, zero density phenomenology. A diquark source j is added in a partially quenched approximation to enable the measurement of lattice diquark observables. In par...

where β = 1 2g and g is the continuum gauge coupling. We will keep b = β N fixed as N goes to infinity, and this amounts to setting gN = 1 2b . The reduced model on the lattice has a [U(1)] symmetry. The Eguchi-Kawai argument for reduction holds only if the [U(1)] symmetry remains unbroken [3]. This is not the case as b → ∞ [4]. This problem is resolved by defining the quenched reduced model [4...

We consider numerical data for the lattice Landau gluon propagator obtained at very large lattice volumes in three-dimensional pure SU(2) Yang-Mills gauge theory (YM 2 3). We find that the temporal correlator C(t) shows an oscillatory pattern and is negative for several values of t. This is an explicit violation of reflection positivity and can be related to gluon confinement. We also obtain a ...
